Insurance Reinstatement Cost Assessments (RCAs)

Inspection of a mixture of commercial, retail and residential buildings throughout the country for preparation of RCA’s.  Our inspection included assessment of a number of listed buildings including a 400 year old Tudor framed building in Ludlow, Shropshire.


Insurance Loss Reinstatement

Survey of damage, preparation of specifications and procurement of a reinstatement contract to a severely fire damaged house in Northumberland.  Approx. contract value  £100 thousand.



Lead Consultant

Provision of lead consultancy services for a multiple disciplined team including: a feasibility study; design development and procurement of a new coded welded and engineering centre for Tyne Metropolitan College, North Tyneside.




Party Wall Matters

Acting as building owner’s surveyor for the development and procurement of the Newcastle City Library on behalf of Newcastle City Council.  Approximate project value of £50 million. Services included detailed inspection of the Metro rail tunnels and pre-construction advice in respect of party walls.


Acting for an adjoining owner housing association in connection with a major    re-development at Shields Rd. in Byker Newcastle, involving the demolition of Victorian terrace properties and construction of a new, mixed-use, commercial and retail development.


Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) / Stock Condition Survey

We prepared a 10 year PPM report for our client on a 16 storey modern multi-storey office building in the centre of Liverpool.


Survey of a Grade II* listed 13th century ruined castle and chapel at Dilston on behalf of a charitable society in    connection with a leasehold acquisition and preparation of a planned preventative maintenance report to advise on repair liabilities.


Survey of a mixed portfolio of ecclesiastical residential and commercial properties throughout  England and Wales for the Society of Jesus including a mixture of large Grade II and Grade II* listed properties for preparation of PPM programmes.


Pre-Acquisition Survey

We completed the pre-acquisition survey for our private client on their Grade II listed property in County Durham.


Project Management

We acted as clients agent on a £2 million repair and refurbishment of a Grade I listed church in the North West of England.




Specific & Expert Defects Reports

Following completion of remedial work to a Grade II Listed property in Sunderland, we were appointed to inspect and report on patent and latent defects as a result of incomplete and poor quality works. Our Expert Witness report resulted in a substantial out of court settlement.



Site Surveys

External high level access survey of Grade ll listed college building for Tyne Metropolitan College. High level survey to assess the buildings condition in advance of a repair contract.
